The Killing Joke

Red Coat Black Coat look back on late 80's comic book, "The Killing Joke", and further ponder the question, "Why can't Batman kill the Joker?"

The comic was written by Alan Moore, who wrote "Watchmen", "Swamp Thing", "Tom Strong". He’s into magic, overly high standards of integrity and being an all around pain in the ass. The comic was drawn by Brian Bolland, who also worked on stuff like "The Invisibles" and is regarded as the ultimate illustrator of the Joker. A lot of panels from "The Killing Joke" wound up on T-shirts when the movie came out. And Tim Burton has said "The Killing Joke" was the comic he looked to for inspiration when engineering his movie.
