Company of Wolves (1985)

Arty, post-modern fairy tale The Company of Wolves makes for a poor drive-in double feature.

Halloween 5 The Revenge of Michael Myers (1989)

Red Coat Black Coat takes a look at Halloween 5, disappointed that the film fails to follow up on the intriguing story-lines suggested by the end of Part 4. Despite Danielle Harris' Herculean performance, and intense scenes of horror, the film is ultimately buried by inept writing, embarrassing "humour", and genuinely annoying characters.

Stephen King's Sleepwalkers (1992)

Killing cats, singing cops, incestuous mother and son are some of the highlights of Stephen King's original screenplay disaster.

Starring Mädchen Amick and Ferris Bueller's parents.

Sleepwalkers opens at Town Cinema and Can-View Drive-In May 1992

Lamberto Bava's Demons (1986)

Released in North America in 1986, Lamberto Bava's Demons haunted the video store shelves of my youth, with its over the top, disgusting box cover. Incredibly, the actual movie lives up to the box art.

What's all that gross stuff matted into the demon's fur? It looks like someone dropped a cheese pizza on him.

Demons plays at the Lincoln Mall theatre in May of 1986
