Amityville 3D (1983)

In the early 80s, not only was Part 3 of any horror series required to be filmed in 3D, but the 3D glasses were part of a scam to pressure audience members to patronize the snack bar.

The cast of Amityville 3D includes Woody Allen's buddy from Annie Hall, Uncle Jesse's girlfriend from Full House, and a teenage pre-plastic surgery Meg Ryan.

Lamberto Bava's Demons (1986)

Released in North America in 1986, Lamberto Bava's Demons haunted the video store shelves of my youth, with its over the top, disgusting box cover. Incredibly, the actual movie lives up to the box art.

What's all that gross stuff matted into the demon's fur? It looks like someone dropped a cheese pizza on him.

Demons plays at the Lincoln Mall theatre in May of 1986

2015 marks the 20th anniversary of the (then) new Star Wars Power of the Force action figure line.

Red Coat and Black Coat recall the early days of this successful toy-line, comparing it to the vintage figures of the early 80s, as well as taking a closer look at Han Solo in carbonite.
